There are so many bamboos and they are so tall that the sky is almost covered by them. It was in late morning, but felt like late evening when walking in the Bamboo Grove!

We came across some rickshaw pullers in the Bamboo Grove. Mostly guys, but saw one superwoman as well! I suppose their passengers are mostly local Japanese as I only heard them introducing the scenery in Japanese.

The Nonomiya Shrine's black gate looks old but still standing strong! In olden days of Japan, selected imperial princesses will stay in the Nonomiya Shrine for a year to purify themselves before becoming representatives of the imperial family at the Ise Shrine. Nowadays, gals pray at the shrine for blessings for their love life.

Strings of paper cranes (God knows how many cranes are there!) can be found in the shrine, wishing for better luck in love or marriage!
