Anyhow walk in Japan - the shiny golden pavilion in Kinkakuji

The Golden Kinkakuji, Kyoto

The Golden Pavilion in Kinkakuji was still as shiny though it was almost 5pm and reaching sunset time. Yah, even though the temple closes as 5pm and we reached a quarter before, they allowed us in, though reminding us not to stay for too long. So at least we didn't travel all the way there (Kinkakuji is really out of the way) for disappointment.

As the sky started to darken and everything else dimmed down, the golden color of the pavilion stood out even more.

Even the reflection in pond was shiny bright. Guess our photos would have been over-exposed if we were to take picture of the pavilion under the bright noon light!

The temple area has more than just the golden pavilion, and the road signs along the way will ensure that you go through each of them. But none is as impressive and memorable as the super duper shiny golden pavilion.

金阁寺 (Kinkakuji) - take city bus to 金阁寺前. And like the bus-stop said it, you'll alight in front of Kinkakuji.
