This is the last event in National Stadium before they really close it for good (or bad?), the last chance to see those uncles from the Singapore and Malaysia teams play against each other in this old stadium. Heard that they'll try to recreate the good old days with runners hawking curry puffs, crackers and drinks. Erm... but of course don't expect 'good old days' price. There is also some fireworks display for the closing ceremony, so bring your tripod.
After this day, the National Stadium will have its root dug up, so it'll be easier to find the lost time capsule then...
The date: 30th June 2007
Matches time: Singapore vs Malaysia at 5pm, Singapore vs Australia at 7:30pm
Price: Advanced booking at S%15 for Standard and S$40 for Premium. If you buy on the match day, it is S$20.
The Premium ticket comes with a free gift pack including S$12 of F&B vouchers, a S$15 ticket to the 'Lights Out' party, an exclusive prize draw to win a Nokia N-Series phone, and more stuffs, whether useful or useless.
AS for the "Lights Out - The National Stadium Closing Party" right after the closing ceremony at the National Stadium, it is S$15 per ticket (S$10 if you are watching the earlier matches), and you've got those people from Zouk in charge of the music. It is said that each ticket comes with a free drink. But I'm not expecting Zouk to bring their bartenders to the stadium, so I don't think it'll be a Tequilla pop...
You can book tickets from Sistic online.

NDP rehearsals road blocking performances at Esplanade
When I was collecting my tickets at the SISTIC counter, the staff warned me of road closures that will affect the roads to Esplanade because of NDP rehearsals... for the whole of July! OMG!
Great... and I have to watch JUMP on the 30th June and the Dim Sum Dollies on the 7th July, both presenting at Esplanade! Faint~ I went online to check what are the affected roads, and to my horror, found that:
Which means that in order to counter these road blocks, I have to go to the Marina Bay area super early and park the car at a nearby carpark. And the disadvantages are... Must risk getting lured into buying things because of the time spent shopping there since there is nothing else better to do. Must be mentally prepared for the super duper expensive car park fees... omg...
Sigh... what the heck... take MRT there lah!
More info on the road closure can be found here

- Can totally forget about Republic Boulevard
- Temasek Avenue and Raffles Avenue will only have one lane opened each, which is as good as none, since they are expected to be super duper jammed
- Esplanade Drive will be opened in the evening, but what is the point when all roads that lead to it are affected?
- Even 2 carriageways of ECP are closed!

S$480 to watch NDP 2007 Live!
No... this is not the price of a pair of NDP 2007 tickets.
This is the room price of the National Day Package from Swissotel The Stamford. With the NDP 2007 showing at the Marina Bay, this hotel is one of the best location that you could bet on if you didn't manage to get the free tickets. Singapore Scenes ... Somewhere in NTU (guess where?)

[CW Video] The NKF Affairs Part 3 - the End?
They may all be declared bankrupt. But what does bankrupcy mean to them? Is it really the end for them? This is Part 3 of the NKF Affairs and the end. Isn't it?

After "Today's Mostly Cloudy" is translated to English...
Came across this Google Translator Widget and decided to give it a try on my blog. Well, since it is free, and adding a few Javascripts won't slow my blog down too much, no harm trying right? (Kiasu Singaporean mentality strikes again)
So I added the script at the bottom of the page, and... Tada! Now my blog is bi-lingual! Haha...
But... hold on... Something seems not right with some of the translations...
"远看还真有点像黑芝麻面包耶!" -> Viewed from afar really a bit like black sesame bread Jerusalem! (why does this sound suspiciously like Singlish?)
"毕竟大老远的来到这鸟不拉屎的青海湖挂经幡" -> After all, far away come to this bird shit is not linked to the Qinghai Lake flags danced (wahaha... I thought 'place where bird also don't want to shit' will be more appropriate!)
"小鸟啊~ 你这么早就去哪啊? 你真的相信早起的鸟儿有虫吃吗?" -> You birdie ah-ah going so early? Do you really believe that the early birds eat worms? (Wow... this seems to be the best translated sentence! Kekeke...)
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, give it a try and see what I mean...

[CW Video] Timeshare.. Scam or Deal?
Recently, timeshare company Grand Seasons International's (GSI) lawyer sent a legal letter to Tomorrow.sg regarding a submission that was published with the heading "Grand Season International - TimeShare Scam Company". GSI felt that the text in the heading are defamatory and their reputation and goodwill has been disparaged and seriously damage. Besides threatening Tomorrow.sg to remove the heading, they are also expecting Tomorrow.sg to provide the identity of the writer. In response, Tomorrow.sg engaged Goodwins Law Corporation to defend them against those allegations of GSI.
Was GSI really wrongly accused? Are these timeshare companies really offering you great deals? Or are they just trying to squeeze the cash out of you? Is it really true that what you hear is what you get? Or is it really just a scam?

Singapore Scenes ... Changi
